The Wedding! Jodi + Regan

Weddings! I can literally feel something inside me flutter at the thought of being invited to one, let alone having my own someday.

A major part of my excitement and awe also comes from having had beautiful experiences at weddings. Seeing two people who are meant to be, finally deciding to take the big leap into a lifetime of commitment is really something noteworthy in my books.

To date, one of the most magical weddings I've had the pleasure of attending is that of Jodi + Regan! Perhaps you remember them from their beautiful engagement shoot at the Pines!

As if that weren't beautiful enough, these high school sweethearts decided that they'd take advantage of having a twin isle republic, and jetted across for a destination wedding. The scene was set against a backdrop of crisp blue skies, dotted with the most airy clouds and crashing waves. The best part? I had the pleasure of photographing it all!

Their ceremony began on the greens at the Magdalena Grand Beach Resort, in Tobago, one of my favourite getaway spots of all time. The aisles were ear-marked with bundles of tropical flowers in the most dainty mason jars, as the pair glided down the aisle to the sound of the steelpan, followed by a brief photo-shoot within the beautiful mangroves a few minutes away. After I put my camera away, I was even able to enjoy a wonderful night under the stars with the bride, groom and one of my best friends... ending the night with fireworks, long-deep talks and paper lanterns slowly floating up into the sky... talk about a fairy-tale ending!
