Finally, this Christmas - I have another wedding coming up! My favourite cousin (more of a brother) is finally getting married, and to mark the momentous occasion, our family has decided on one more trip before he heads out into married life. We've decided that the ideal spot would be London, where we're hoping to find the ideal suit for him, and outfit the bridal party with the most royal attire, to suit the lovely young lady he's marrying.
Our first stop, Oxford Street! This European shopper's dream was the ideallll spot for finding literally, everything we needed. Our family decided that we wanted to be in the heart of the city, so our choice for a hotel was, the Cumberland. Located in the heart of the city, a stone's throw from the famous Hyde Park, Oxford Street and the Marble Arch, this modern little nook was ideal for recharging between shopping hauls.
If you know me, you know how much I LOVE shopping, so although this trip was wonderful and relaxing on my soul, my pockets certainly didn't feel the sentiment. At each swipe of my card, I could almost hear it begging for mercy... but it's not everyday your brother gets married!
We only stayed for one week, so there wasn't a lot of time carved out for sight seeing, but below are a few of the highlights from an unforgettable family weekend!

Our favourite dining spot around town, Bella Italia. I highly recommend their Chicken Carbonara! |
That's all for now, but stay tuned for our next family trip in December, when we're all joining the honeymooners in Italy!
Love,
Aimee!

DeleteOxford street, I have to remember that! And Bella Italia looks so lovely! Can't wait to visit there!
ReplyDeleteOxford is the bestttt for shopping, I absolutely loveee everything about the entire street. No matter how many times I've walked it, it's always a joy. You're a shopaholic too, so I know you'll really enjoy it whenever you do visit. If you get to Bella Italia, be sure to try their carnbonara! It's INSANE!
DeleteLove this and the experience you shared! Reminds me of my short trip to Cambridge and London last year! Lovely pictures. Now I'd love to return sooner rather than later. :)
